Day 352

Today marks Day 352 of  The Red Shoe Project!  You'll find me dressed to the nines in my...

 RED Footwear,
 Armor of God,
Garment of Praise,
 and
Spirit of Joy!

From afar, it might look like I'm just wearing jeans, a sweater, and RED shoes, but come closer.   Sit with me and chat awhile.  You'll discover that I'm telling the truth.

I woke up this morning with a song on my lips.  God had elected to make my heart merry.   I love when that happens!  In fact, there were many songs.  I couldn't help myself.  There I was belting out those old time choruses,
one after another, after another.   My daughter overheard me and started to giggle.

When I wasn't singing, I was shouting praises to God at the top of my voice.

"Hallelujah!  Hallelujah!
I love You, Lord!"

Once that started,  I headed into my prayer room and closed the door behind me.  I felt a prayer meeting coming on!  It doesn't happen like that every day, but when it does, it's glorious!

My heart was overflowing with music.  At one point I caught myself singing a song in another language -- only the melody was a familiar Christmas tune.  I had to wonder if I was singing that specific song in a language known to someone, somewhere on this planet -- or perhaps it was just for the angels.  For the life of me, I couldn't remember the words to the song in English.  Hopefully I got them right in the language in which I was singing.  LOL.   How bizarre!

Later in the day, I discovered that several of my friends were in need of prayer.  It's the Elijah Syndrome.  They have just poured out their hearts in ministry and now, as they rest from that outpouring, they are vulnerable to the enemy's attack.  I've been there, myself, many times.  Today, however, I was interceding on their behalf, that God would be their refuge and strength in this time of potential trouble.  Look at the scripture I found while reading God's Word.

"Because You are my help,
I sing in the shadow of your wings."
Psalm 63:7

Whenever I read scriptures like this, I always picture God like a giant eagle.  There I am tucked under His wing and pressed in close to His heart.

In that place...
 I am safe.
I am loved.
I am warmed.

There's nothing better than that!   No one can harm me when I'm that close to Daddy!  No one!

God is our refuge and strength,
 an ever-present help in trouble."
Psalm 46:1

Praying God's Word,
in RED shoes,
