Day 334

Today is Day 334 of The Red Shoe Project.   An amazing thing happened early this morning while still in bed.  God commissioned me.  That's right.  He called me to a special assignment.  There was no hoopla -- No angels singing -- Hey... my RED shoes weren't even on my feet yet!

Would you do this for me?
He asked.

After much consideration and discussion,
I responded back...

Yes Lord!  I will gladly do that for You!

Not long ago, I was watching a YouTube download in which a minister was talking about The Call of God.

He spoke of "God's Call"  as a
Divine Offer of Partnership
with The Holy Spirit.

You can say "YES" or you can say "NO" --  It's entirely up to you!  The great Kathryn Kuhlman was commissioned by God for a very specific ministry of healing.  It's documented that she believed she was not God's first choice, but His fourth.  She understood that three men were asked prior to her, but  not one of them was willing to pay the price for that powerful anointing.

Looking back over my thirty years as a Christian, there have been several powerful times in which God has commissioned me for a task.  I still remember each and every one of them.  The day He called me to preach, I was in the shower, of all places, when He spoke Isaiah 61:1-3 directly to my heart.  It broke me right then and there.

This morning was very different though.  It was all a bit serious, almost like a business meeting.  We talked at great length and He offered up specific details.  He wanted to make sure I understood how special this task was to Him.  I was glad He took the time to talk with me about it.

I said "YES" and He said,
"That settles it then.  Now you know.
You don't have to keep asking.
The decision has been made."

Someday, I will write about this special commissioning.  I will remind my readers that on...

Thanksgiving Day 2013.
 I said, "YES"  to God.

How profound this morning meeting in my prayer closet has been.  It seems odd that I am off now to celebrate the holiday with family and friends as if nothing out of the ordinary has happened today. But something has happened!  My heart is now fixed on a specific course of action.  It may not seem huge to those watching.  Most will not even take notice.   But it's astronomical to me.  So be it!
