Day 93

It's Day 93 of  The Red Shoe Project.   I'm wearing my Ruby Reds and requesting a Divine move of God... in my life... in the lives of my family and friends, and in the lives of others!  Yes, I'm sporting my Red shoes daily, looking for Christ and crediting Him for his faithfulness to show up each day.

Actually... I can't say that.  The truth is, He's all over the place! There's more than enough material each day, in my life alone,
to write pages
and pages of testimonials on what He's doing right in front of me.
So to say that He's Faithful at showing up each day is quite the understatement.  The issue is on our end, not His.  Plain and simply stated, "We don't consistently look for Him!"  Ouch!!!  The good news is... that's a learned behavior.  We are all capable of looking for God each day, and RED shoes are not required!

Today I once again found
myself in RED shoes
and crying out,  "MORE Lord!  MORE! I must have MORE!"
More of what?

More of Him!

I know that some of you may be getting sick of hearing me say that... but, I can't help it.  Nothing compares with...

-- a touch from Him --
-- a nearness of God, beyond imagination --
-- a holy hug by The Comforter, Himself --
-- a divine Word spoken directly to my soul --
-- a Heavenly downpour --
-- a life-changing vision from the Lord --
-- an encounter with The Living God! --

I watched a video clip on YouTube today in which Heidi Baker was talking about a vision God gave her, many years ago, that totally turned her life around.  She was never the same.  He commissioned her with a divine assignment in life, and, well... that divine encounter sealed it.  Off she went, from that specific point in time to do God's will.  And she continues to this very day.  WOW!

It's funny, but as I chatted with a friend today, I realized that so many of us need a touch like that.  Come on... most of us know that God is real.  And many of us know God's purpose for our lives.  Maybe we're even right smack in the middle of it. But somehow there's a disconnect... a short-circuit, perhaps.

Have you even tried to use your garden hose to water the grass or fill the pool?  The water's turned on, but it's not coming out the other end?  You look and look, only to find that the hose is bent, and it's not allowing the water to get through.  All you have to do is unbend it and "Woolah!"  It's a gusher!

I don't know about you,  but many of these last 93 days have been spent unbending the hose!

That's a GOOD thing!  That's a GREAT thing!   I'm EXPECTING a Gusher!  So I spent some time tonight just journaling my request to God -- Asking for more of Him, cupping my hands, ready to receive from His spout.

Won't you believe with me?
-- that God would touch you in a powerful way?

It starts with "The Ask."

In RED shoes,
Gail

"Ask and believe,  and you shall receive."  (Matthew 21:22)
